AGATE

AMAZONITE
Named after the Amazon river, it is said to provide harmony and balance. It was said to have adorned the shields of the semi-mythical Amazonians, they believed it to be the stone of courage and truth.
AMETHYST
Amethyst is said to improve intelligence, enhance wisdom and creativity. Ancient cultures believed it was the god of wine, who gave Amethyst its colour by pouring wine over a clear crystal. Amethyst derives from the greek word ametusthos which means “not intoxicated” it is therefore also believed to prevent drunkenness and overindulgence.
AQUAMARINE
Aquamarine is known as a relaxing stone. Its name meaning “water of the sea” it is said to evoke the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. It was also believed to be the treasure of mermaids and used by sailors for good luck, fearlessness and protection.
AVENTURINE
Aventurine is said to bring prosperity, good luck and self confidence.
