STONES AND THEIR MEANINGS
Agate is known to help with the imagination and inspiration of artists. It is said to promote self-confidence and also provide protection when travelling.
Named after the Amazon river, it is said to provide harmony and balance. It was said to have adorned the shields of the semi-mythical Amazonians, they believed it to be the stone of courage and truth.
Amethyst is said to improve intelligence, enhance wisdom and creativity. Ancient cultures believed it was the god of wine, who gave Amethyst it’s colour by pouring wine over a clear crystal. Amethyst derives from the greek word ametusthos which means “not intoxicated” it is therefore also believed to prevent drunkenness and overindulgence.
Aquamarine is known as a relaxing stone. Its name meaning “water of the sea” it is said to evoke the exhilaration and relaxation of the sea. It was also believed to be the treasure of mermaids and used by sailors for good luck, fearlessness and protection.
Aventurine is said to bring prosperity, good luck and self confidence.
It is said to be the stone of confidence and ambition. Encouraging motivation and drive. It promotes a positive attitude and is an uplifting stone. Goldstone is said to promote vitality.
Emerald, also known as the “Stone of Successful Love”, is said to open and nurture the heart. It is believed to be a stone of inspiration and infinite patience. It embodies unity, compassion and unconditional love. It is also said that it is a stone of intuition, it was long believed to foretell future events and reveal one’s truths. It is said to bring wisdom, enhances memory and increases mental clarity.
Fluorite, also known as the “Genius Stone”, represents the highest state of mental achievement, it is said to boost aptitude, discernment and help work through complex issues. Is is believed to expand the consciousness and boost creativity and exploration.
Howlite assists in all travel plans, home or abroad. It is believed to help reduce anxiety, tensions and stress. It is said to calm and soothe the emotions and can also help to slow the overactive mind to achieve a deep and restful sleep.
Jade is known to be the ultimate Dream Stone. Ancient cultures believe it provides calm, wisdom and tranquillity.
Jasper is known to be a stone of grounding and stability. It is believed to provide comfort, security and strength.

Lapis Lazuli’s deep, celestial blue remains the symbol of royalty and honour. The stone is known as a universal symbol of wisdom and truth.
